Recovery of valuable metals from surface finishing rinsing wastewaters

Rinsing waters decontamination

Surface treatment processes (plating, anodizing, etc.) generate huge volumes of rinsing water contaminated with toxic metals (silver, copper, zinc, chromium, nickel, cadmium, etc.). Conventional physical-chemical technology involves the use of a variety of hazardous chemicals, and generates large amounts of sludge, often disposed of in landfills.

RT2 technology has several advantages:

  • Recovers metals in recoverable form
  • No mud to dispose of
  • Completely automated: eliminates health and safety issues
  • Very competitive operating costs
  • Uniform environmental compliance
